Hair Story: How the Stress and Anxiety of 2020 Led to Hair Loss

Did you know August is Hair Wellness Month? About 80 million Americans suffer from hair loss, that is crazy! Hair loss can be caused by genetics, stress, sickness, and more. I never thought I’d be one to deal with hair loss, but I also never thought a global pandemic would happen this year.

The Stress of 2020 Caused Me to Lose Hair

March of 2020 was a scary and stressful time for everyone. Like many people, I suffered from a great deal of stress and anxiety. At first, I noticed it in the way I was feeling when I would step outside to walk my dog, then I saw it on my face with hormonal acne (which I am still dealing with it) and then I start noticing my hair thinning and fall out more than usual. I didn’t notice it until April when I was taking a selfie video to document my acne progress and saw some more scalp than hair. I didn’t think too much of it at the time, but I soon realized how ugly and aggressive stress can be on our bodies. I knew I needed to do a lot of self-care from within to reduce stress and anxiety (meditation, yoga, off-screen activities) and I also needed to find something that I could add to my beauty routine to help encourage thicker, fuller looking hair.

So I Turned to VEGAMOUR

Drumroll please…this is when VEGAMOUR comes to my rescue. I am so lucky to be working with a brand that not only works but is natural! As time passes by, I am becoming more conscious of what I put in and on my body and I would hate to have to settle for products that are clean and don’t work or work, but are filled with harmful chemicals. VEGAMOUR's hair serum is 100% vegan, cruelty, gluten free and encourages thicker, fuller looking hair. It is infused with hemp oil, which is shown to reduce inflammation and help improve blood circulation.

How to Apply VEGAMOUR GRO+ Advanced Serum

I use the hair serum on both wet and dry hair. If its a hair wash day, I will apply one to two droplets of the serum to my scalp and massage it in with a head massager. Then I let my hair dry a bit and I move on to styling my hair as usual. If it’s a regular day where I am not washing my hair, then I apply one to two droplets of the serum to my scalp and massage it in before bed. Since the serum is water-based it doesn’t leave your hair feeling oily and sticky. It just looks and feels a little wet until it dries.

How Long Does It Take to See Results?

Like everything in life, you need to be consistent and use the hair serum every single day and give it time to work. You will see results in 2 to 4 months, but you might even see results sooner…I did! I am shocked at the baby hairs and just the overall [improvement] ... in my hair. I’ve also noticed that my hair isn’t falling out nearly as much as before when I shower or brush my hair. I can’t wait to see my hair in another month or even 4 months!

If you find yourself going through this, just know that you’re not alone. I wouldn’t recommend anything I didn’t believe in or personally used myself, so do yourself a favor and get a bottle of the GRO+ Advanced Hair Serum
