Hair Story: Influencer Jennifer Delgado Shares Her VEGAMOUR Hair Routine

You may have seen Jennifer Delgado on your Instagram feed — or on your TV. She's currently on the series “The Hills: New Beginnings” on MTV — yes, that "The Hills." But first and foremost, Jennifer describes herself as a wife (her husband is Frankie Delgado from the original "The Hills" series) and mother of two beautiful children and three loving dogs.

Lucky for us, she's also part of the VEGAMOUR family. With hair that's naturally wavy, dry, frizzy and prone to dandruff, Jennifer has made hair health a major priority this year. She's cutting back on heat tools (down from three to four times a week), living a healthy lifestyle and using VEGAMOUR products for better hair and scalp health

Jennifer told us a bit more about her hair challenges, her routine and what products have made the biggest difference for her.

Tell us a bit about your hair wellness journey.

"I officially began my hair journey in January. I started by using VEGAMOUR Hair Serum and dry shampoo for the first 2 months. Around month 3 I began using VEGAMOUR shampoo and conditioner in addition to the scalp detoxifying serum and the gummies.

The dry shampoo was, of course, a keeper in my weekly routine, to freshen up and add some volume to my hair on my 3rd sometimes 4th day of not washing, it's truly a lifesaver.

The hair serum has brought back life to my temples. It was so thin and just looked like baby hairs. After month 3 I really began to see some new growth and it appeared darker in that area, which meant new hairs were growing. The shampoo and conditioner I have to say is one of the best I’ve used thus far in regards to my hair smelling good on day 2 and even 3 sometimes. Not only does it smell incredibly amazing but it really just makes my hair smooth and soft. I can tell whatever I was using before was not helping my hair at all.

The hair detoxifying serum really helped with my dry scalp. It really did its job in the first use, I couldn’t believe it. Lastly, the yummy gummies I like to call them, are so delicious, I never forget to take them, because of how good they taste. I have seen an overall difference in my hair, I couldn’t be happier, its softer, thicker and grows so fast, I really can’t keep up with my trims and coloring."

What are your must-have products?

"My favorite VEGAMOUR products (which is pretty difficult to narrow down, because all have their own specialty) would probably have to be the shampoo/ conditioner, hair detoxifying serum, the hair serum and dry shampoo! All play a big role in my hair routine now. Since my hair is more on the dry side I don't like to wash my hair every day, so the dry shampoo really does its job in keeping it look like I just washed and styled it.

I use the dry shampoo 1-2x week depending on how active I am. I like to use the hair detoxifying serum 1x week its probably the best hair mask anyone can use, so many benefits! This is followed by the shampoo and conditioner which I will 2-3 times a week and right after I will apply the hair serum on my towel-dried hair or one my hair is styled."

What changes have made the biggest difference on your hair wellness journey?

"To be completely honest, I think changing my hair routine has made the biggest difference, I am more aware of the products I add to my hair, I stay away from harsh chemicals as much as possible and have reduced using heat to my hair to once a week."

What advice would you have for someone who is struggling with their hair journey?

"I think the best advice is … no one else has your hair so don’t be afraid to start small and be patient and consistent with the products you are investing in. Just like your face, your hair wellness is just as important and should be given the same attention and high-quality ingredients. Taking care of your hair is just one small way of showing your body the love it deserves."
